The LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) is stored, at a pressure, that varies according to the temperature and the composition of the LPG itself, between a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 25 bar.The gas container comprises a tank that is filled through a special filler connected to a rigid copper pipe connected to a valve that restricts filling to 80%.A solenoid valve located on the canister cuts off the flow of LPG to the fuel system when switching from LPG operation to petrol operation or when the engine is switched off. Thanks to the action of an alternating current submerged pump with no blades, the LPG passes through a maintenance-free filter in the tank and a copper coated pipe to reach the intermediate connector in the engine compartment near the supply solenoid valve. From there the LPG passes through a flexible steel pipe to reach the injector holder bodies which are connected by special LPG feeder pipes to each individual intake manifold.A return line collects the LPG that is not injected and sends it to the tank via a special return solenoid valve and a calibrated port (valve) which creates a rise in pressure which varies between 0.8 and 1 bar.The pressure of the LPG (which varies in the injector holder body) is controlled by means of an LPG pressure sensor whose electric signal is read in the control unit to adjust the LPG metering (injector opening times).
