D02 ENGINE NOT RUNNING SMOOTHLY / (LOSING POWER)

Engines: 2.0 JTD 8V, 2.3 JTD 16V, 2.8 JTD 8V

Prolonged performance reductions occur under constant load and speed conditions.

	Check the following, in order: correct battery lead connection no leaks in fuel circuit; condition of the air intake circuit; no obstructions in the catalytic converter; no water or impurities in the diesel fuel.	Move on to Step 1	Battery leads loose	Restore the correct tightness
			Fault in the air intake circuit	Renew the air intake circuit
			Obstruction in the catalytic converter	Replace the catalytic converter Op. 1080B62 CATALYTIC CONVERTER - R + R
			Water in diesel fuel	Remove water from diesel fuel
			Leaks in fuel circuit	Eliminate leaks

	Connect the Examiner tester to the tester output.Check: that there are no errors in the control unit; parameter plausibility.	Move on to Step 2	Error detected in the control unit	Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment

	Carry out a road test keeping the diagnostic equipment connected. Take care to reproduce the conditions under which the problem occurs Check: that there are no errors in the control unit; parameter plausibility.
