I50 INTERIOR LIGHTS NOT WORKING / UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES

Engines: 2.0 16V, 2.0 JTD 8V, 2.3 JTD 16V, 2.8 JTD 8V

The interior lights do not work when the controls are operated.

STEP	OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT	TEST RESULTS
1	INDIVIDUAL BULB CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check: the state and operation of the courtesy light switches; Condition of the fuses; the condition of the individual bulbs; the condition of the bulb holder assemblies;	Move on to Step	1. Bulb or courtesy light faulty.	1. Repair or replace the courtesy light
			2. Fuse/s blown.	2. Replace fuse/s and find out what could have caused them to blow.
			3. Bulb or bulb holder faulty	3. Repair or replace the bulb holder
2	INTERIOR LIGHTS ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the following, in order: switch control panel power supply connections between switch panel and switches on doors connections between courtesy lights and switch control unit connections between courtesy lights and switches courtesy light earth connection switch earth connection	Move on to Step	1. 			2. Earth connection not correct	2. Restore earth connection See E2510 COURTESY LIGHTS
			3. Power supply connection not correct	3. Restore power supply connection See E2510 COURTESY LIGHTS
3	DOOR SWITCHES CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check switch operation See E2510 COURTESY LIGHTS	Move on to Step	Switches faulty	Replace the switches
4	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the fault is no longer present
