- Position the vehicle on the lift.- Remove the rear wheel.- Working underneath the vehicle, with the help of a jack, slightly raise the axle on the side of the shock absorber to be removed.1. Undo the shock absorber fixing bolts.2. Remove the shock absorber.
- With the help of the jack, kee the rear axle raised, position the shock absorber and screw in the bolts without tightening them.- Refit the rear wheel.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.1. The definitve tightening of the shock absorber fixing bolts should be carried out in the design load conditions. Therefore the vehicle should be suitably loaded over the rear axle so that the distance (L) between the buffer plane and the buffer support plane corresponds to the recommended figure (leaf spring in horizontal position).
